BE AN EDITOR - The easiest, but very importantl way to help. The website is the online face of Countryside Baptist and its appearance is important. If you found a beer bottle in the church yard, I hope you wouldn't just leave it for someone else to pick up.  Leaving some stupid mistake on the website is just as bad. If you see a mistake, omission, misspelling, or anything at all, don’t let it go! Please take a moment to email the webmaster so the problem can be fixed.

In the past we have listed desert instead of dessert at church meals, declared ourselves to be a Southern Baptist Churck, and committed many other online miscues. We catch most errors right away, but some have lingered for months. You can help by telling us when we goof.

Solomon said: in the multitude of counselors there is safety. (Prov 11:14) We say In the multitude or editors there is a better website. Please look at ours with a critical eye.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT
THE WEBSITE MINISTRY

The website ministry is threefold.

  1. The first is advertising. When our visitors get their follow up phone call, as often as not they say they found us on the Internet! Besides the home page, we have a page on our church, it’s history, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We have a page describing our doctrinal stand on major Bible themes and pages with a schedule of services, directions and maps, all designed to help potential visitors find us and hear the Gospel at CBC.

  2. The second is to act as a knowledge base for church members. Through the Members Page and Calendar Page and various links from them, we strive to give a thorough picture of our church’s life and ministries, but there are gaps. That’s where you come in. This second purpose has a synergism with the first. Potential visitors can get a better feeling for us as they surf these pages. There is also a Links Page with more opportunities to grow your faith and knowledge while surfing, links like Hall of Church History or Voice of the Martyrs. Email links to the Church staff are also listed.
  3. The third purpose is evangelism. No ministry should neglect sharing the Gospel, and the website is no exception. We have a prominent link in our navigation menu called THE BIG QUESTION, which leads the surfer to an electronic tract. Only one person has ever written us to say they made a decision for Christ, but many hundreds have visited that page.
