Taliban murders 3 Christians working in flood ravaged Pakistan Authorities recovered the bodies of the workers not long after threats had been issued against workers trying to provide aid. The trio had been kidnapped and killed by members of the Pakistani Taliban in the flood-ravaged country.  Carl Moeller with Open Doors said  "Some of the relief workers there have been threatened by Taliban, but this is the first case we're aware of that foreign aid workers have been killed by the Taliban."

Southern Baptist Pastor Shot Dead by Police - A pastor and widely recognized Spokane businessman, concerned that a prowler was on his property, armed himself with a pistol and headed toward a sedan in the empty parking lot of his greenhouse complex nearby. Gunfire erupted and Scott Creach collapsed with a fatal bullet wound to his chest ... his killer: a uniformed Spokane Valley police officer in an unmarked patrol car. Light House Clothes Closet - The Clothes Closet figures are in for April.  We served 149 including 30 first time visitors to whom the Gospel was presented.  Of these eight made a profession of faith.  The 2009-'10 YTD final numbers are as follows.  1,696 people served including  176 new people and 239 children.  50 have been led to the savior by our four gospel presenters!  In addition we raised $416 for the food pantry from sale of torn clothes and leather goods to recyclers! The Closet is closed for the summer, but the work of sorting & recycling and goes on through the summer.  To help contact Joan Albrecht. revised 4/27

Sunday Breakfast - from 8:30 - 10:15. Join your church family for a time of fellowship and food before Sunday School on Sunday mornings.
