Colossians 1:15 has caused a lot of confusion as it tells us that Jesus is the "firstborn" over all creation. Does this mean that Jesus was literally "born first"? The proceeding verses tell us that Jesus is not created, so what is the Apostle Paul intending to communicate to the church of Colossae?
